CSPM implementation: turning findings into fixes

A scan produces a list, and the work is deciding what to fix first. CSPM implementation ranks findings by exposure, so a public storage bucket holding customer data outranks a missing tag. Before ordering, tell us which compliance frameworks matter, which accounts are production and who owns each account, because every finding needs an owner who can approve the change. Accounts with no owner are usually where the worst problems sit.

Drift is the continuing problem. People change settings through the console, templates are copied from old projects and new services appear, so CSPM implementation should include rules that alert when a setting departs from the baseline. Decide how alerts reach engineers and which fixes can be automatic. Where infrastructure is defined as code, fix the template as well, otherwise the next deployment recreates the problem.
